RTA Review - The FP designed by The Vaping Postman and Blitz

The FP by Blitz Enterprises and designed TVP.

This tank has been been long talked about by Mark – The Vaping Postman and long awaited by many many reviewers and vapers alike. I was lucky enough to get one of the 1st batch of 150 that was brought in by Nature Vape and fittingly for a tank called the F*#k Pig I managed to get the serial number 69.

The Box

The RTA comes in a sturdy black box with Blitz Enterprises FP RTA, Designed by TVP on the front, the normal TPD warnings are also on the front. (I do like the small writing stating the main warning only applies once the product has been filled with a nicotine containing e-liquid. On the sides you have the Blitz logo, their social media info, the colour of the RTA (it comes in black and Silver/SS), I got the silver one.

On the bottom you have the address details of Blitz and a further warning to keep it away from children, non-smokers and animals. (not sure why non-smokers are mentioned as I am a non-smoking vaper)

In the Box

When you open the box the 1st thing you will notice is the size of this beast, it is a 30mm tank and looks really impressive sat in its foam holder. Nothing else on top. Take out the top foam and you see 2 empty spaces in the foam – These are for the non TPD compliant spares for tanks sold outside the UK and EU. In the little side cut you will find a bag of spares which include O-rings, little blue screwdriver, 2 coils and spare ceramic clamps. Also included is a spare frosted 810 drip tip.

There is no instruction manual or warranty cards etc. (Mark has released a video showing how to use the tank) Note - When you buy the tank in the UK/EU you will also be supplied with 2 spare glasses, a longer glass tube and also a bubble frosted acrylic tube, which gives you the option of having more e-juice in your tank. (correct at the time of writing, however this is to be changed to a bubble glass)

Looks

This tank just oozes quality from the moment you pick it up, feels heavy in the hand and also very sturdy. Starting at the top you have a black 810 drip tip that has knurling all the way around it, you would think this would be uncomfortable, but it isn't. The top fill cap has 'F' spaced all the way around it to give you grip to undo the cap. Open this up and you find two massive kidney shaped fill holes that makes getting you juice into the tank a breeze. The glass that comes already fitted gives the tank its 2ml TPD capacity but if you try and use it, you will get dry hit city, hence the reason for the 2 extra glasses. The chimney is long and engraved with knurling, this is designed to help with the wicking of the juice and to guide the bubbles to the top as there is not much room between the chimney and the glass. On one side there is a deep engraving with the letters 'FP', another reminder of the tanks name. This leads us down to the airflow control, this is based on one of Mark's favourite tanks the Steam Crave aromamizer and has the letter 'P' engraved 6 times and the bumps. The airflow is fully adjustable and 3 main settings, fully open, medium and restricted, however you can adjust these to suit your needs. The bottom it says 'FP RTA' the CE and don't vape in a bin marks, the serial number and 'Designed by TVP & Blitz', it also has an adjustable 510 pin.

Inside the tank

Next we move onto the the inside. Unscrewing the bottom you will find the deck with its massive 30 Honeycomb airflow in a curved design,fed from the bottom. 2 ceramic clamps (one on either side) with flat head screws holding these in place. (these are due to be changed to crosshead screws) You would be forgiven for thinking that the posts are positive on one side of the deck and negative on the other but no, each post has both the negative and positive on one post, separated with an insulator. This deck is massive with room for dual coils with 3mm inner diameter or a massive 4mm or 5mm single complex coil. No need for plugs or fillers in this tank when using a single coil due to the design. The juice well is a GTA design and very deep and will hold plenty of cotton. Due to the deign of the deck you have multiple coil placement options available to you. Dual cloil – one on each post. Single coil – on one post or shared across 2 posts. - You will find what works best for you. Performance I have been using this tank for a week now with a single coil 4mm ID fused clapton and dual coil 3mm fused clapton with Swag cotton. Putting a build into this deck could be easier due to it size and using the Coily tool to make sure all the coil leg lengths are the same makes bedding the coils in even easier. It did take me 2 or 3 times to get the wicking just right as I used too much cotton as I was worried about it leaking, which didn't happen. (One feature I really love is that you over stuff your cotton, you can turn the tank upside down and take it apart with a full tank of juice and it wont leak). From the 1st vape you get massive of flavour and masses of cloud production and like a tube of pringles, once you start you just cant stop. Boy can this tank go through your juice it is a guzzler. Once you have found your best coil placement and air flow you will find that you don't want to put this tank down, I am normally a big squonk fan, but this has become my go to tank. As it is a 30mm tank you need a big device for it to sit on, I know it sits well on a G Class and I have it on my Ijoy Avenger (it has room to spare).

Overall Impressions

Overall I was very impressed with build deck and build quality of this RTA. I love the options as well, the mutli setting airflow, dual/single coil options, the extra glasses and the 2 drip tips. The amazing flavour you get from such a large tank you would almost be forgiven for thinking you are using an RDA. It is going to take something totally amazing to knock this off the top of my list. A total 10 out of 10 in every aspect. I have heard a couple of people, well one, saying that it is over engineered and with the FP on it too many times, but I personally think this adds to the character and shows off the person behind the design.

Conclusion

Would I recommend this RTA – Short answer a big fat yes. This beast of a tank is a must have in your collection and for someone just getting into rebuildable tanks, the design makes it easy for you. The fact that the 1st batch of 150 tanks sold out in under 4 hours speaks volumes for TVP and this tank. At the time of writing more tanks have been in order by Nature Vape and shortly will be available in more outlets.
