Shop Review - ziggicig

Image
On a bustling Ballymoney street in Ballymena you will find the Ballymena store of Ziggi Cig. From the outside the shop has a nice clean and new finish to it, with a large glass window with posters on it, nothing to show the goodies inside. A display cabinet may help here. Step inside and there wasn't a member of staff at the counter (think they where out back), when they did appear it was a dry "Are you ok?" The shop has a feel of a doctors surgery about it, clean and clinical, but not very welcoming. A nice range of mods in the glass display cabinets, they layout is pleasing to the eye. The prices are on par with other shops in the area, but made to look cheaper by knocking off 5p from the round pound. (nice sales ploy) On approach to the till area the member of staff didn't try to engage in finding out what sort of juice/if any I was after. The juices are on shelves behind the counter so hard to see what they have, but there seemed to good range. Made en...

Shop Review - The Ciggie Shop Ballymena

Image
Nestled on Ballymoney Street Ballymena you will find a little e-cig shop called "The Ciggie shop". A rather drab exterior hides away the goodies that are inside. When you walk through the door you are given a warm welcome by Dave (Shop manager) who quickly establishes your needs. There seems to be a huge range of juices available but from a distance they all look the same as labelling on the own brand bottles is bland. There are other juices available in the cabinets from other makers. The shop is very small and space is limited so but every space is used to display hardware and juices. One major plus side is the chance to try before you buy with the juices and there are samples for most of them. No more getting a juice you think you might like only to get home and find you dont like it. Customer service side of things is very well covered by Dave if you are a new vaper or experienced vaper as he listens to your needs and will recommend products based on that. No ...

Gummy Dude - grape

Its not very often i get to review a juice before it hits the shops but always a first time for everything... Many thanks to Alex aka Donut Dude for sending me his new juices. Gummy dude grape and Gummy Dude Watermelon and kiwi. Nicely freshly wicked kylin with twisted coils reading 0.31ohm sitting on top of the T-Priv ready for the Gummy Dude Grape. Just opening the bottle (100ml, 0 nic) and the aroma of fresh grape hits you in the face. I cant wait to get this in the kylin, but still want to taste it so a little on my finger and WOW the taste is amazing. The fresh grape shines through with a tingle of soda. Kylin topped up and a couple of dry vapes to pull the juice through and the taste is so clear. First vape and its definitely not a let down.... Far from it... No muting of flavour as fresh grape fills your mouth and the tingle of the soda... On the exhale more of the grape and something else that i cant just put my finger on... Maybe a hint of strawberry? Will let you decid...

Shop Review - Vape Shop Larne

Image
Tucked down a little street in Larne you will find a wee Gem of a store called  Vape Shop Larne (e-cigs and alternatives), not that you would know from the outside what awaits you inside. One lazy Saturday morning I called down to Larne and went to visit VSL on recommendation of a shop to visit. On arriving in  Dunluce St, Larne BT40 1JG it was hard to locate the shop as very little gives the shop away if you are on the same side as it  . Once found and you step though the glass door onto a rustic wooden floor you also find a mulitude of Vaping goodies await you in modern glass fronted cabinets. The mix of old and new continues through the shop. New style sofas lazy around a couple of tables near the front of the store with the main serving  area to the rear.  One of the first things you see is a glass cabinet that holds only what I can describe as antiques of the vaping world... A step back in time to some of the oldest mods I have ever seen. (no they are ...

Shop Review - Bentra Vapes

Image
Time for something a little different -  a Vape Shop review. Bentra Vapes  1a Slaughterford Road, Whitehead This is not my local shop by a few miles but the pull of vape meet drew me to drive the 20 miles to it and this is a review of how it went. Not your normal setting for a vape shop but WOW what a setting, a golf course and restaurant above the shop to take your breath away before you even enter the shop. Now as you walk into the shop, the newness and cleanliness are very apparent, the shop has only been open a few months. High quality cabinets and shelving adorn the wall to the right as you walk in, the counter with stools in front are to the left with the Bentra logo on it. Prices of mods seem to be in and around the same price as other shops if not a little lower. But your run of the mill juices from Vampire Vapes and Diamond mist are 4 for £10. There are 12-15 people already in the store and contact is quickly made by a gent called Marty (who tu...
